Just quick update about Orbit's progress this week, and to let you know that the blogs will be moving to a monthly update. I think it will be more exciting to see huge chunks of completed project, as opposed to the seven block offerings each week. I am also hoping I will get some new images from the Sew Along participants! I am so excited for the end of this week, I can sew the last five blocks of January to the loose three I have from the last week. I was sad that there were only four blocks I could join up this week, and because I used the iron off pen on the chambray I can't even press them!!!
I have been religiously filling out my journal as well, and I have a feeling that it will be something I keep for the memories once 2025 is done and dusted. Forcing myself to take a deep breath and take a few moment to play each day (choose the days fabric) has been a great excercise in being mindfully present.
Jan 20th - Liberty Cottages. This fabric is featured in the first 3D EPP project of the year!
Jan 21st - Magenta Liberty. Because it was the first thing to make me simile that day (not a good day).
Jan 22nd - Vintage AMH. Feeling a prickly and pointy like the design motif.
Jan 23rd - RSS Butterflies. Had a bad biopsy result and needed some hope.
Jan 24th - Yellow / Terracotta shot cotton. It felt like sunshine on a gloomy day.
Jan 25th - Pink floral. OMG neon yellow and magenta! Magic.
Jan 26th - 'Straylia Day! The print was designed by an Aussie and it was supposed to be reflective of hill country, which is the scenary around my house. Tomorrow is my dads birthday, so he will have the honor (not that he see's it that way) of choosing the print for the day! See you all next week possums!! Cass xx
